I didn't used to think artistic ability ran in families, until I started reading y'all's blogs. A post like this really amazes me!

Well we wouldn't compare ourselves to the Wyeths for ability, but that family has three generations of painters...

And if you visit my Mom's house you can see paintings by my grandfather (her father), my grandmother (Dad's mother), my uncle (Mom's brother), pen and ink drawings by my mother, paintings and drawings by myself and by Nigel. Four generations of art coming down on both sides of our family. So it seems like a common thing to us... Maybe being surrounded by family artists makes it more likely we pick it up and stick with it. Like music in your family...
