Shark at Duke Park

I'm glad we had a chance to take pictures and play on this one more time last summer. Last week, as reported in the Herald-Sun's article, Destroyed iconic playground equipment vexes residents, it was taken down and destroyed, even though the neighborhood was told that they could have it to reuse parts. All three of my kids and their friends enjoyed playing on it over the years. [ML]

Picnic shelter ceiling


I still vividly remember when the picnic shelter at the NC Museum of Life and Science was totally enclosed and contained the space exhibit.
